How the heck could they call you? They don't take your name and phone number when you buy the ticket.

Here you can be a registered Lottery player, so they have your contact details and if you want your win made public .

You simply present your players card when you buy your ticket and the numbers in all the games on it are registered against your registration.

You can also play as an unregistered player , but don't loose your game card ....

What is the $20 -$35 all about?

I don't think we have that here - it must be your school requesting that. Is that a one time fee at the beginning of the school year?

School to year 12 is free here , covered by the taxes you pay.

(You still have to buy uniforms, workbooks, though , and sport usually attracts a token fee each week , to use a swimming pool, tennis courts , cover bus fares etc).

Uni is not free anymore , but still cheaper than what people pay in the USA say unless you are full fee paying student.

Minuet,

The 20/35$ fees are requested by either the school or the district, as far as I know all schools in the district have them. I forgot to mention that we pay a fee for art supplies as well as your child's daily planner. I think the only thing our taxes pay at this point is teacher's and other school staff's salaries and building maintenance(I'm only assuming). EVERYTHING that a child uses up in a classroom (including facial tissues) are paid by the parents.

Edit: Transportation(school buses) is covered by taxes.

Go for it...if you can spare the cash that is. As a boy scout once asked,"Why knot?" ;) And if you win then you can invite us all to the party. :D
