I am watching Patterns of Force right now. The opening sequence in which they shoot down the nuclear weapon was cool. I kind of forgot about this episode. |

I'm Captain Kirk!

I haven't watched it yet. Due to The Mariners, Star Trek didn't come on until 1:30am. Good thing I got a Tivo. |

Sophie, Season Two.
Hoss, Are you watching the refurbished version of the episode, or the standard one? |

refurbished. I guess in another 20 years they'll take the refurbished ones and make them look as they did originally and then they'll be gentrified. The part where they had to cut the transmitters out of thier arms bugs me. It doesn't seem to me that the bed straps would be sharp enough to do that and it doesn't really seem to hurt. Did TNG have a Nazi episode? I know Voyager did. |

Wouldn't that be something? Talk about full circle. I can't bring myself to watch any of these redone episodes. I guess I don't need to, as I love the originals as is. But I am pleased that others are enjoying them, and I hope non-Trekkers will be drawn to the franchise as a result. |

Sophie, Yes, episode 52 (from Season Two). BTW, I watched Power Outage (Season Three of Charmed) tonight. It was great seeing Cole again.

It seems that they mainly just clean up the space scenes with weapons fire and such. They do have some seens cut out though, which is irritating. |

Really? Unbelievable. That puts the nail in the coffin as far as me ever watching them is concerned. |

It's all to make room for the extra 10-12 minutes of commercials that televison needs now. |

That's the thing that really bothers me. I'm so used to watching the full uncut version. It's great to see the enhancements, but they cut good dialog. |

Comparing Star Trek as shown by the BBC, and Star Trek shown by the SciFi channel interupted by ad breaks. Give me the Beeb any day!

^^^ Agreed. I also love the DS9 boxes from the U.K.--far superior to the American-made containers, which are way too fragile. |
