My mom is unfortunately 9 hours away from me this mothers day. :( But I'll be calling her later.

:omg: :omg: :omg: Yay for moms! :omg: :omg: :omg:

Ouch!

One of my students (she's 18) lost her Mum last week to cancer. They just had the funeral on Friday, hopefully she'll be back in school tomorrow. But today is going to be another very tough day for her :(

Edit: Hang on, you've all tricked me :P Mothering Sunday is on a different day over here, we've already had it (March 18th)!

So, a little easier for her... but not much.

Anyway...

Here's to all the Mums in the world, those who are with us, and those who aren't.

We had a busy Mother's Day. Since my Mom and step-Dad had driven to Austin to see my brother last Thursday, the only way for us to get together was to go to Austin. So, 9:00 yesterday morning I packed the family into the truckster and drove up there. We took our time and got up around 11:30. From there we went out to brunch and had a nice time. I also got to take my bride to some place different for her day. I got both my bride and my Mom little somethings from James Avery. We drove back around 5, getting home around 7:30.

We would have gone up earlier, like on Saturday, but my wife's eldest niece turned 16 on Saturday. We drove up to Conroe for that party.

I had wayyyy too much beef this weekend... not that there's anything wrong with that!
