So just now I got locked out of my resident hall because I decided to go exploring, stupidly without my keys. So I went through a door I thought looked interesting (the building was built in 1893) and it was an interesting stairway, and all the doors but one were locked from the inside and NO ONE would answer any of the doors for me. There was one I was afraid to open because I thought the fire alarm would go off and after fifteen minutes I decided to go through and had to go through someone else's apartment but I'm finally back where I'm supposed to be and I ain't budging. It just made me think of the FRIENDS episode where Ross and Joey were stuck out on the roof. At the moment, after being stuck for 15 minutes in a hot stairway I'm treating myself to some Blue Buenny Double Strawberry Ice Cream.

No, but just a couple months ago, I dropped my complete set of house/truck keys down a storm drain.

^^^ Same here. I pretty often forget the key of my (parents) house. Luckily most of the time one of my parents is at home, but sometimes it happens noone is there. |

Yes, I called the Village Street department (it's a small town) and they guy went out and pulled them out in 30 minutes. Of course the agony of admitting I had done such a thing was way worse than the inconvenience of not having my keys...

Never locked myself out before. On the other hand, I have shown up places (like my Dad's house once back in the early 80s when I had leave) where I didn't have a key. Knowing how my father thought, I found his hiding place. I was sitting there drinking a beer when he got home. So as to not overly alarm him, I left a note on the front door saying, "I'm here. Come on in and have a beer with your eldest." |
