Not the best Star Trek episode ever. Wasn't that the girl that Bobby Brady kissed, saw fireworks, and thought that he got the mumps or something? When the kids are having ice cream and they ask Kirk if he wants some he said yes but make it a small one, a very small one. Except he delivered it like Shatner would deliver it with a funny look on his face. For some reason, that scene made me laugh. I feel sorry for the two red shirts who got beamed off into space because Kirk thought they were still orbiting the planet. |

Hoss, No, that was Melissa Sue Anderson (of Little House on the Prairie). Her name was Mary in that series, and the girl in And the Children Shall Lead also was named Mary. Mary in ATCSL was played by Pamelyn Ferdin. And Melissa Sue Anderson's name in that Brady Bunch episode was Millicent.
Yes, that's one of those scenes that is pretty odd. I liken it somewhat to the Vulcan science officer in TMP who never materialized.

I wonder if that Vulcan science officer's blue shirt was dirty and he had to wear a red one that day. |
