As much as I love this film, I can't get over the fact that When the Reliant showed up in the Ceti Alpha system that they didn't notice that one of the Damn planets was missing..that being Ceti Alpha VI.

That bugs me more than Khan and Chekov knowing each other.

that bugged me a bit too. All I can think is that Star Fleet records may not have been accurate about the Star System. But you'd think since Kirk had dropped them off there, that there would be some notable data about the system in the Star Fleet records.

Oh well, still a great movie.

Sam,

As was stated near the beginning of the film, Ceti Alpha VI was cloaked.

The fact that the Reliant crew doesn't know how to count had turn into an ongoing joke in other Trek boards I've visited.

Also did you notice Chekov can't tell the difference between a garden spot and a sand storm? It makes me wonder how he got the Science Officer posting in the first place. :P

Seriously, though, the business about Khan not knowing Chekov is easily explained, since those technical manuals that Khan was studying in Space Seed listed every member of StarFleet Academy at the time....

Oh i know this all too well. It reall erk's me too.

They knew the planet had 6 planets to begin wiht. You'd think they might notice when they came in and did their scan. and think "hey wait their is only 5 planets here. What Happened?" damn Writters

the part with Chekov knowing Kahn I can over look, maybe Chekov was just a random crewmember before he got promoted to the bridge.

Or Khan, who most likely has total recall, saw a picture (image) of him on the screen?

Yeah, you'd think the sensors would show that...or..did they have interference of some kind?

I thought that the "garden spot" comment was tongue-in-cheek.

Hmmm. IIRC didn't Khan studied and memorized the entire Enterprise crew roster in Space Seed? :headscratch:

There' are other questions I would love to find answers to in this movie. We know the Enterprise had undergo a retrofit for eighteen months. If so, how did Khan knew exactly where to strike the ship?

Curiouser and curiouser I daresay.
