I tried to include as many favorites as I could, no doubt I missed some. I vote for Where No Man Has Gone Before. Still my favorite, probably always will be, although I love all the ones listed too.

Is There No Truth in Beauty?

I'm glad that this ep got mention. That's always been a secret favourite of mine.

I'm still fascinated by "Mirror, Mirror" to be honest. I'm wondering whether the redux in DS9 of the same mirror universe kind of tarnished it's classicism, though.

There are so many classic TOS eps. "Return to Tomorrow" another fav of mine, and even "The Changeling" still fascinate me.

Wait until Fes wieghs in. ;)

I think you're right in that DS9's continuation of the Mirror universe may have tarnished Mirror, Mirror a bit. I tried to include as many favorites as I could think of, but TOS has a large percentage of likability, so it's hard to remember them all.

No problem, Doc. You'd almost have to list half the roster for this topic ;)

I'm Captain Kirk!
That's a hard one. I have so many favorites, it's hard to choose just one. There are so many that I never tire of. Mirror, Mirror, The Doomsday Machine, Space Seed. The list goes on.

** I do reserve the right to change this choice anytime in the future, without notice.

My math skills are seriously flawed..For some reason I expect the number of votes to match the number of replies. For those of you replying and not voting, this is a non-binding resolution! So just vote! !@$)

Other.

The Conscience of the King. Otherwise known as "Hamlet in Space". I always loved when they channeled Shakespeare on this series, but this was the best one.

It would've been cool too to see a Malkorian from Spectre of the Gun somewhere in a TOS movie as part of the ambassador delegation seen in Star Trek IV or VI.

There's one thing about Star Trek that got copied repeatedly. The well written plots and stories that are thought provoking and debatable are imitated numerous times. One of them is "Let This be Your Last Battlefield." This powerful political driven theme episode was nominated for a Hugo Award. Its theme was repeated in modern series such as Law and Order, CSI, Boston Legal and other dramas. I believe it should be given a honorable mention for best Trek episode. :) :D

Dr. Noah,

"Melkotian." I agree that it would have been cool.

Haven't voted, yet, but I just watched Balance of Terror for the first time last night, though I'd seen bits of it some time long ago. :P Very nice episode! Good suspense and introduction of the Romulans. Have to say, though, that Kirk clutching the blonde yeoman during the fight scene was uber-cheesy.

And they lost 21 crew! Has any Star Trek nut ever calculated how many people the Enterprise lost over the entire 3 seasons? It has to be somewhere!

I too voted for Other. I chose The Tholian Web, although two dozen or so could have made my 'most favorite' list.

You might expect me to have voted for "Trouble with Tribbles", and it is on my list of favorites, but I ultimately voted for "City on the Edge."
Many of these are so good, it's tough to make a choice.
