Yeah, I'm the Juggernaut, Spock!!

Well, tonight I got season 1. watching the Special Features right now. Looking forward to watching the episodes, though I'm pretty sure I've seen them all on TV. :)

Yesterday afternoon, I watched all of the special features for Season One (disc 8). I had watched many of them before, but not all of them, and certainly not all of them at one sitting. I loved them--esp. 'The Red Shirt Logs." ;) They were so much fun to watch. While in the middle of the segment on Spock, one of my daughters walked in and saw 'The Salt Vampire.' She wanted to see that episode! But I told her that we had to complete the special features first. Then another daughter walked in, and saw 'The Mugato.' So she wanted to watch A Private Little War. So we ended up watching both of those episodes afterward. Then we watched The Apple, since our two-year old girl loves 'Baaaaaaaaaaaaaal.' ;)

Okay, slight tangent:

My eldest daughter was with two of her friends in Grand Rapids, attending Stars on Ice. She came home elated, telling me that Sasha Cohen, Todd Eldridge, etc. performed. I had no idea that such big names were on the program for that day. She had a great time.

Yes, I only got it for my birthday (January) (along with TAS). I already had about half of TOS on DVD, but for me the boxed sets are a must.

I thought you owned it already, and had reported on it on this Board? I must be getting you confused with Digifan (or perhaps someone else).

Hmmm...you must be confusing me with some on else. I bought it in January - during my hiatus from this site. So far, my favorite ep has been The Naked Time, I think is the exact title[?] I hope to be ready for box set Season 2 by my birthday in June. :D

Yep, that's the correct title. It's also known as 'Sulu With a Sword'. ;)

Last night, we watched What Are Little Girls Made Of? for the first time ever on DVD. The picture was awesome--so crisp and clear. I put it on to surprise our two-year old. When she saw Ruk, she let out a scream of recognition that almost brought the house down. She's only seen Ruk once, but something about him (and I think unusual-looking aliens in general) resonates with her. A good time was had by all.

BTW, question: Did the android Dr. Corby, while hugging the android Andrea (during the last five minutes of the episode) kill both of them intentionally, or accidentally? I'm talking about the trigger on the phaser being squeezed as they embraced. I believe it was intentional, although for years I thought it was accidental.

This episode has IMO one of the three greatest lines ever spoken in TOS: "Dr. Corby ... was never here."

I always thought it was intentional.

Ha! I watched the ep last night, too! :P Looked intentional to me. ;) Dealt with a great subject, however I have to say the way he made an Android seemed pretty cheesy...just put 'em on the wheel and spin 'em around! Was this Dr. Soong's great grandfather? :P
