Since it looks like we'll never see our posts from before the invision meltdown again, I though I would revitalize some old threads. Personally, I think Kirk's ability to help garner peace between the Federation and the Klingon Empire in Star Trek VI despite his mistrust of the Kligons was Kirk's greatest acheivement. |

It's hard to compare the TOS movies with the original series. The films sort of frame the adventures in a more believable and epic style. IV and VI are probably the best examples, but going back to TOS there were some slick accomplishments. |

I'm Captain Kirk!

Lets see? Uncovering a Klingon spy on a Federation Space Station. Discovering a Orion spy and a plot to disrupt The Babel Conference. Stealing a Romulan Cloaking device. Saving the Earth. The list goes on. He's the man!

the episode where Kirk intervened between two planets fighting a simulated war on computers but still killing off the "casualties" as if it was a real war . Ending a 500yr old war with one swift stroke, a great accomplishment, showing the leader of one of the beliggerents that indeed he was right when calling Kirk a barbarian. Particularly loved the Enterprise warning the planet to ready itself for full destruction. Don't mess with Star-Fleet. |
