Deal or No Deal. Isn't that the one where people just guess a number between 1 and 25 (except they make it all dramatic)? |

Wow, I knew I had a completely busy 2006, but this really put it in perspective. *Best Movie you saw at the cinema Cars - it was the only movie I saw at the cinema *Best TV show I had almost no time for TV. When I did, I watched most Trek and no new TV shows *Best pop song I don't listen much to pop *Best Rock song I do listen to rock, but my daughter's music and talk radio tend to occupy my car's airwaves. At home, I've been too busy - not sitting on one place long enough - to bother turning the radio on much. *Best Sporting event, live or on TV Couldn't say. Again, too busy this year to watch much of anything. * And for those with too much time on their hands; best book I certainly don't have too much time on my hands.

Best movie: Stranger than Fiction or Cars... tossup. Best TV show: Doctor Who Best Pop Song: Don't listen to it anymore, but I did hear ELO's "Surrender" the other day so I'll nominate that. Best Rock Song: Rock died when Nirvana first took stage. Best Sporting Event: World Series. Then again, the Texas A&M - Texas football game last Friday was great! Best Book Read: I read fast and budget my time, so I do make time for reading. Mexifornia by VDH for non-fiction and Homeward Bound by Harry Turtledove for fiction. |

I read Homeward Bound earlier this year just to get that series over with. Turtledove, tells a good story, but his style of constant repetition grates on me after time. |

Cont me among those that did not like X-3. Yes the special effects were great and there were some good moments. However, I do think that as far as a climax for the trilogy goes it really failed to live up to is potential, especially the way it handled Professor Xavier (yes, I saw the very, very end after the credits rolled), Cyclops, Jean/Phoenix and Magneto. |
