Agreed. That's a big part of TOS's success ... meaningful stories.

My family celebrated Christmas early, as my sister's family goes out of state to visit the bro-in-law's side of the family during the school break. So I have opened my gifts and guess what I got?

:woohoo: :yippee: :high5:

Thanks, Santa, for making an early trip. These animated episodes are still great fun to watch, and the clarity and brightness of color is wonderful on the DVD. Even my brother-in-law said he was curious to borrow the set and see the episodes. He started watching TOS in re-runs during his college years, and he totally misssed that there was ever an animated series.

Digifan and TribbleMom,

I most definitely agree with Fontana's remarks. I watched TAS when it first ran back in the early 1970s. It was complex, but it held my attention admirably.

TribbleMom,

I'm jealous. ;) I'll be getting mine in about another two weeks. My wife has hinted at it, but she's also said she'd like to get me the first season (boxed set) of TOS. Either would be fine with me.

I enjoyed watching them again. The color and brightness was excellent. It made me feel like I was watching them for the first time.

Fire and TribbleMom,

I'm quite pleased that I wasn't the only one to think of obtaining 'both.' ;)
