Hayes was still part of South Park? I don't watch the show regularly, but didn't he pretty much leave in season 5 or 6? I know in all the episodes I saw last year, he wasn't in any of them.

As for his reasons, I wrote this on another board and it's applicable here:

They showed the Virgin mary bleeding out of her ass for crying out loud. Yeah it wasn't a good episode, but it had nothing to do with my beliefs (Catholic if you were wondering). It's just south park's way, and why it's such a great show. Everything is all in good fun, yet in this PC world, fun doesn't seem like it should exist anymore. His reasons are kinda hypocritical.

Geez, Southpark has been going for 9 years!

About 7 years too long

Friends went for ten years and was still funny. And 7 did seem to be the magic number for Trek, except for Enterprise of course.

I've seen the odd episode from time to time. A couple of them were quite hilarious, but some others I've seen struck me as a little bit repetitive. It's deliberately designed to be offbeat and a little bit irreverant to some people's sensibilities. But I think that the novelty wore off some time ago.

Actually, the last time I tried to watch it I just found it kind of boring; almost like a series that is burnt out and doesn't know where to go.

Friends wasn't funny, although Jennifer Aniston adorned my walls...

And TOS...

there is one episode you should watch for. The Southpark Mirror Universe episode. You could tell someone was from the Mirror Universe by virtue of the fact that they had a goatee.

Oh, and the one at the Tantalus IV Plantetarium....the plot and quotes were almost in tune with Dagger of the Mind.

I find the show funny, and would not mind them making fun of my religion....as long as it were true. I find good episodes in all thier seasons.

I agree with HistoryDude about the bathroom humor. I HATE fart jokes, nothing like that was ever funny to me. Most of the sex jokes are funny, though, but unwarranted. It takes creativity and talent to be funny without them.

The Scientology episode was funny to me. And, well, Scientology is just so twisted..to me. I learned about them years back when my friend wound up taking thier test.

And just think, if Mr Cruise and Mr Hayes hadnt said anything Mr Parker and Mr Stone wouldnt have declared war, and scientology wouldnt have gotten this extra bad press
