Spring?

What spring?

It's mid March already but there is no signs of the change of season anywhere. The nights are still chilly. Not as cold as winter time but still chilly. Daytime temperatures are shifting rapidly. Sometime it jumped ten degrees within an hour and fall just as fast at night.

We are in the middle of a cold spell and more snow and chilly weather are expected to arrive over the next few days.

Old Man Winter is not leaving March without a fight. :headscratch:

What's in your neighbourhood?

LOL. We got two inches of snow Tuesday night. By today, it was almost all gone! We are supposed to get more snow (about an inch or two) Friday, but I can't imagine it will be around for too long.

Glance out of window and see....

A blanket of white.

This is spring?

Spring officially arrived at 2 AM MST today but frankly I don't really know anymore, folks. It had been snowing on and off over the past week and it doesn't seem want to stop anytime soon. Mind you, this will keep the farmers happy come April when the planting season starts.

I hope the weather will warm up soon. I want to ride my bike again.

Not to mention seeing all the girls in halter tops and really short shorts.

Sweet! B}

In a way, yes. It's where all the monkeys hangs out. :P

Speaking of which, the Calgary Zoo had announced a new arrival in the big mamal preservation area. It's a cute male baby black bear. They are sponsoring a naming contest for the new arrival to be display to the public once the mother-infant bonding period end within a few months. According to the zoo biologist, arrival of an animal born in spring is a rare event. Most births occurs in autumn.

What name would you choose for this special addition? Any ideas? :headscratch:

Spring? Spring, where? In the Denver area we've had more snow in the past 3 days than we had in all of January. Good thing I haven't put away my snowshoes yet.

Shaken, not stirred...
Yes, just in time for the first day of spring here in Central Illinois...6 inches of snow in blizzard-like conditions. Now its in the 20s with a wind chill of less than that... :ugh:

Its usually rainy and pushing the upper 60s.

Man, I tell you this global warming has hit us hard here...
