Met the culprit , he's 22 years old , a uni drop out and a spoilt rich kid . He showed up this morning and wanted to see her.

Glad you met the fellow and that he came to your house at least. At least they aren't secretly meeting in odd places.

BS'rs are a dime a dozen. Most of the time they're just insecure people and have to let everyone know what they have or worse, insult people to make themselves feel better. I hope deep down inside he isn't that kind of a guy, for your daughter's sake (and his sake of course, I'd hate to see him disfigured at such an early age if he makes a wrong move) :)

So how is the daughter feeling? She mad at you and the Mrs.?

Don't be too tough now. Remember, you can't watch her 24/7. ;)

My political instincts are fine (I just happen to be very cynical and skeptical , and not someone who likes being BS'ed too and not aligned with the rightwing).

Yeah, BSers usually hate being BSed. Your cynicism and skepticism seem to be amazingly focused. I notice you didn't say anything about not being aligned with the leftwing.

She's getting over it and knows not to push her luck.

She tried earbashing ( :frust:  ) her grandmums (both of the them over the phone when the edict was made) and didn't get the responses from them she expected .

Master Perfect hasn't been around , and hasn't rung either. If he cares for her he'll come around and comply , if he doesn't , he wont and it's good ridence .

Don't let my wife get a sniff of any chocolate , when it comes to that stuff she's verocous , it's not a pretty sight when someone (not to be mentioned) finds her stash of chocolates and raids it.
