I think the action-oriented statement is correct. I never saw any parallels here. But then again, you see parallels in many DS9 episodes that I don't often (if ever) see. ;)

Fes, what you said about DS9 is true. I have seen many parallels in that series to current and past events, but then again, great fiction is timeless. ;)

That is true. For me, I suppose I do not look for parallels, because sci-fi takes me *away* from the current time, something I am glad to do when I am viewing an escapism form of entertainment. :)
