I wonder if the episodes of Enterprise regarding the Xindi were written to reflect 9/11? There seem to be so many parallels. |

Who, Please describe some of them. I haven't seen any thus far, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. |

^^^ I do not know the time frame when it was written but did it follow 9/11? There was the sneak attack that destroyed part of the US. Destruction of the entire planet was feared. The enemy was unknown and hidden in a very foreign place. Not all the Xindi were evil, only a portion. The Xindi came in many forms. The Xindi helped destroy the weapon once they realized they were being used. Violence was OK in defense of the planet. Archer stepped out of normal bounds to save Earth. There was a coalition of 3 main races. |

Who, I would need to check the airdate for the arc. The event (9/11) was in 2001. |

It was written after 9/11, and some episodes were written to reflect this, but the producers (apparently) didn't go out of their way to parralell 9/11, it's just how the season turned out. |

Mike, did you talk to the producers and writers about this?
I wonder how much of it was conscious and how much subconscious? |

Nope, but I have read interviews with them and they have said that. How true it is though I don't know. I'll try and find a link to one of the itnterviews. |

Like many other spy movies, Hollywood pulled them when 9/11 occurred particularly good old Arnold S and his major movie - Collateral Damage. I don't think the alien attack on Florida was a reflection of the terrorist attack on the United States. |

Pineapple. You're not going to like this, but I must do it. After all, we're talking about my childhood 'crush.' It's 'Marcia.'

It really seems like the Xindi attack was some kind of parody of 9/11, but I really think it was just a plot device to "ramp up" the show and make it more action oriented. |
