I believe it's the name. They know they can charge that, and get it.

Well they ain't getting it from me.

I cannot afford those prices. I have higher priorities to spend my money on.

They will be getting it from me. There are few t.v. programs that I would shell out that amount of money for, but Trek certainly is one of them.

^^^ Of course living in Canada means I get better free to air coverage then you get in the US so I can get away without buying the discs.

Welsby,

No, you won't have the lost episodes. But you probably don't want them.

Minuet,

When I watched ENT first-run, the audio was quite muffled and the picture, not very clear. So the discs are quite a treat. :)

I still dont understand why trek season sets are so dear.

ENT here is $118 ( which is actually cheap for trek, TNGs are $179)

But just about every othert series is around $59 -$69

Stargate Season 8 for example is $59

That'd due to the quality of the disks. Many WB disks are double sided and more vulnerable to damages. They are cheaper too but they gave it up for packing the standard twenty two to twenty six episodes onto four disks instead of spreading them out over seven disks. Also some of the artwork on the single sided disks are fantastic.

It's too bad we didn't get artwork similar to DS9 appearing on Enterprise disks. Why B&B avoided this is beyond me.

It isn't up to B&B, that is up to PHE (Paramount Home entertainment)

Wish it was up too Braga, then they'd come with a centrefold ;)

Wouldn't that be something? :D

The art on the DS9 DVDs is the best, but I also like the paintings on the TOS DVDs too. The Enterprise discs are really boring. They all look exactly alike.

Noah,

I own the U.S. copies. I've seen the more durable ones online; is the art work the same for both?

I have no idea. I just keep the discs in a huge CD case/folder now with Trek stickers all over it.

I'm such a dweeb. ;)
