Moving out of the great Season Three and into Four...
Episodes: Galaxy's Child and The Mind's Eye Connection: Concerns our favorite engineer, Geordi Synopsis: Galaxy's Child -- The Enterprise as a parent? Seems so, when it accidentally kills a space-borne creature whose child comes to believe NCC-1701-D is its mother. Geordi finally meets Dr Leah Brahms for real (originally from Booby Trap) and has to face up to the fact that she's never met him, doesn't love him, and that it's altogether more difficult with a real woman than a hologram! The Mind's Eye -- Romulan forces kidnap Geordi and turn him into a killing machine in order to sour relations between the Federation and the Klingon Empire and Picard and crew must discover the plot. |

Definatly The Mind's Eye. Always great when the issue at hand is romulans, impending klingon civil war, and brainwashing.

Yes, another Geordi-oriented episode ripped from another idea, in this case the Manchurian Candidate. |

See, I look at it more as a Homage. The all-mighty DS9 ripped most of thier episodes from other movies/shows/etc. all the time.

I guess the Mind's Eye had a little more suspense. Hey, HistoryDude, good to see you again. |

Hey, good to back...
Had a hectic week...And, yes, homage will do nicely, too. In the interviews on the Complete Fourth Season, the guest director of that episode even talked about using angles, shots, and close-ups similar to the cinematography in MC, the first one, that is. Like the close-up up angle on Geordi walking through the corridors on his way to the assassination atempt and so forth...

I remember that. It made the assassination attempt even more suspenseful, with the eerie music going off in the backround. |
