A kazoo!!!!! Are you out of your mind As you can probably guess I voted to stay with the flute. Although a French Horn would have been nice as well (if not as easy to carry in his pocket )

No. He would have really come off looking like a total dweeb. It was bad enough that they had him playing a little flute. |

How about the armpit? The French Horn?!?!?!? Are you kidding, Minuet? Just imagine, Riker on trombone, Data on Violin, Kim on clarinet, and Picard on the kazoo. It'd be great. They could play some Dixieland Jazz to irk Minuet. |

I like Dixieland jazz. Our band has a few arrangements. Data's violin would be the odd one out. The horn could double a trombone part. |

OK, so a flute may not be considered a real "manly" instrument, but it worked nicely in the episode. It had to be something small to fit into the probe. And it sounded beautiful in the musical score. A kazoo just wouldn't have been the same. |

Minuet specifically stated that she likes all forms of Jazz except Dixieland, because you can't dance to it. |

A Kazoo? That depends on whether Picard can sing on key...
Seriously, I voted no. But how about a harmonica?

We know from Insurrection that he can indeed sing on key. He sang some pirate song for Data. |

No, a kazoo doesn't have the same feeling of 'reflection.' |
