Have light saber. Will travel.

It is beginning to appear to me that Radical Islam is founded in Wahabi Islam from Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is spending a huge amount of money to build Wahabi Islam Mosques and other centers in America to spread Wahabi Islam. Saudi Arabia is intolerant of other religions in its country. Do you think Wahabi Islam forms the foundation of Radical Islam and should be banned in the US? |

No. No more than Catholicism or Judeism should be banned. |

No. We have freedom of religion in this country. At the same time, the framers may have handicapped us. |

I believe that preaching the violent overthrow of the United States is illegal, as is engaging in conspiracies to commit acts of terrorism. If this is what they are saying, those doing so should be arrested. Beyond that, let people affiliate and believe whatever stuff they wish. |

It just seems to me that all these problems are caused by religion. I have yet to hear an Atheist doing things like this. |

and I can find as many religious people to account for every Atheistic person who don't do things like this. Not to mention Stalin was an atheist. |

The basic difference between religious zealots and atheists who kill at the mass level is that atheists don't cite religious reasons for doing so. |

What does that even mean? Because you don't like what Stalin did you are going to push him out of your group? Well if you are going to push all violently criminal atheists out of your group then I guess you can say no atheist has done anything like this, but then again that would be an empty idea wouldn’t it. |

Quite the contrary Dan. I am not trying to push Stalin out of a group. I am saying that a central tenant of lennon's communism is the suppression of religion. And since that is true, than we could say that every leader who ever was the leader of the USSR was an Atheist, not, necessarily by choice but by a function of the goverment. Just as every president of the US, identifies with some religion, when he may not be. But it serves a function. And I know you recognize this argument, because whenever I state that every president of the US has a stated religion, people here say yes, but that doesn't mean was was a practicing 'whatever' and he was really an Atheist.. |
