Who is talking about persecuting the Muslim population? Once again I quote the words of the British Prime Minister;

Quote:

I want to make it clear yet again that this is not in any way whatever aimed at the decent law-abiding Muslim community of Great Britain. We know that this fringe of extremism does not truly represent Islam. We know British Muslims, in general, abhor the actions of the extremists. We acknowledge once again Muslim contribution to our country and welcome it. We welcome those who visit our country from abroad in peace, welcome those who know that in this country the respect and tolerance towards others which we believe in, is the surest guarantee of freedom and progress for people of all religious faiths.

Are these the words of a man who is seeking to persecute the majority of muslims?? I say to you that they are not, they are the words of a man who is anxious to avoid stereotyping all muslims and keen to maintain a distinction between those who are law abiding and who contribute to the nation and those who are wanting to destroy this nation.

Our response even to the extremists, who we have every right to hate, falls a long way short of persecution. We are talking about prosecution and deportation for those who incite hatred and encourage terrorism as well as those who prepare for, support and of course carry out terrorist acts. Its not concentration camps.

So no one is disturbed by this particular ethnic minority being persecuted and targeted (emass) because of the behaviour a very small number of it's members ?

You exaggerate. I see individuals and individual groups being targeted. With just reason for doing so. These individuals/groups are not just being selected at random for no apparent reason. These people/groups are extremists hate-mongers who are nothing more than a cancer eating away at the Islamic community.

Good riddance.

ie racial / ethnic profiling.

Would you care to explain because as I see it the UK Government is going out of it way to make clear that UK Muslims in general are not suicide bombers or supporters of terrorism and that they make a valuable contribution to the nation.

However as I said before if the police are looking for Islamic extremists they are likely to look within the Islamic community. Thats logical.

A Robot in Disguise

^^^

That reminds me of a joke.

Paddy O'Reilly is taking a walk home after a couple pints at his local pub in Ireland, he cant wait till he gets home to take a leak, so he pops up a deserted alley way, half way through his action, someone comes up behind him and pulls a rope around his neck.

The voice from behind says: Are ye Protestant or Catholic?

Scared for his life, Paddy hesistates and says: Errr... Err...Neither, I'm Jewish

Voice from behind: Praise Allah, I must be the luckiest Arab in Belfast

;)
