Indeed. Thanks for understanding. And yes, it was meant for you.

Its pretty simple. Click the Quote button at the top righthand side of a person’s reply. A reply window will appear where you will type your reply and that person’s full quote will appear in a separate box below. You can quote the whole reply or remove part of the person’s quote (if you only want to quote a portion).

Thanks 24. I'll give it a shot. Sorry I haven't tried yet, but mostly I post from work and pop in and out intermittently.

Although we often disagree, I like you too. You seem to be bright and concerned with others. I do not know how to use the quote function for multiple quotes (perhaps someone could explain this) but the quote icon is easy and it lets me know what someone is responding to.

As any engineer will tell you, psyfi, what's on paper is often not the same as reality.

Perhaps not, but it can still be quite logical.

Related to the topic, I was re-watching The Elegant Universe last night and one of the things that the program pointed out was how our perceptions, e.g., the idea that we are separate and apart from all other things, that time flows in a linear fashion, and so forth are completely and totally at odds with what Quantum mechanics states is the nature of all that we are composed of. Kind of makes you wonder about the validity of anything we observe.

Well, I am still in the Smallville universe. Having "used up" the Lex Luthor avatar, I have moved on to another character. She is the Chloe Sullivan, high school editor of the news paper hoping to work one day for the Daily Planet, character played by Allison Mack.

 I recognize her now. I used to watch Smallville, I just kind of lost interest.

Apparently we look like this now
I thought she looked familiar. She is a godess. I dated a girl once who looked just like her. She dumped me because I called her Chloe during an intimate moment.

OK, back on topic, I have no problem either with a Biology teacher while teaching evolution might say, "Some people believe there is a guiding intelligence behind evolution."
And leave it at that. Intelligent design is philosophy, and I also think there should be required philosophy and comparative religion classes in high schools too. It would very much help us understand each other and the world I think.

Sorry 24 - one more off topic comment ;)

To quote a second passage or a passage from another source (a website) you copy and paste what you want to quote. At the beginning of the quote you click on the quote button at the top of the screen and then at the end you click the button again.

I agree with this almost 100%. I think maybe a few paragraphs could be added to simply introduce the intelligent design concept and then the rest could be referred to their philosophy class which I think several should be required in High School. So many classes are about learning material whereas philosophy classes teach one how to think. They also explore the nature of the world outside of science.

OT: I am also a big Smallville fan. I liked the explaination of the Superman myth on KILL BILL. psyfi, love the new avatar.
