There needs to be more abusive people in positions of power I think.

Yeah, bring back Bill Clinton... oh wait, that was just sex, wasn't it.

You know, you really need to get over the 1992 and 1996 elections. :P ;)

Nothing motivates workers like a superior screaming and throwing things at them.

Noah, you can't be suggesting that Bolton's accomplishments in life were all achieved by screaming and yelling at people---nothing about tact, or diplomacy, never a good word, just mean and onry day and night. Come on! Even Jesus Christ had a disgruntled employee and when those who were not disgruntled were asked about him, they lied in order to cover their own butt. Such is life.

I would especially like it if my boss would try to get me fired for making an accurate assessment he personally disagreed with because of his personal agenda.

If he can't keep an even temper when testifying before Congress do you think he will when interacting with the UN diplomats he apparently hates?

I think workers need to be occasionally shaken up by having to endure red faced temper tantrums and flying office materials.

Keeps them on their toes. ;)

This strikes me as an underhand way of operating, to bypass the legislature in effect because its not giving the right answer or at least not quickly enough. This man will be representing the USA at the United Nations not the Republican party at the United Nations, and if I was a US citizen I would be concerned that the President had made such a partisan move. Surely a more unifying and consensus based approach would have been to nominate someone who Congress could have confidence in?

Anyway not my country!

Funny, I saw him get a little peeved at the mudslinging from lefty senators, but he don't react any differently than ANYONE ELSE WOULD HAVE. Admit it, this is nothing more than a distraction to attempt to deny President Bush an appointment he wants. Nothing more, nothing less.

No, Bill Clinton (the most powerful man in the world at the time) did not have sex with a White House Intern. This was his testimony under oath. There was also the very difficult problem in determining what is, is. This amounted to the head of the Executive branch defining that oral sex is not sex. I wonder if this is why so many young teen girls are giving oral sex now? Where were the leaders of feminism during all this regarding sex in the workplace? On the one hand we have the most powerful man in the world and on the other a young intern.

Yes, it's Bill Clinton's fault alone that oral sex is so widespread amonst teens. :rotfl:

I see nothing wrong with this appointment. This type of appointment is legal and has been used many times by both parties. I do have a problem with a few people in a committee holding up a vote on a nominee. He should have had a timely full vote in the Senate.

Yes, I am glad we have sent our best possible example of a even tempered diplomat to represent us in the world.

I am not saying he is the only cause but I would not be surprised if his actions are a part of what we see today.
