Kirk was retired, though he still wore the uniform. It was Captain Harriman who asked Kirk, for his help due to his expiriance as a commander on a Starship. He took that oppertunity to help.

Scotty may of been thinking about Kirk, when he was found. He didn't know that many years past. I don't find it confusing, I find it easy to figure out.

I watched this movie over the weekend and more questions came to mind.

Under what circumstances could a person gain access to the Nexus? If Soran was so obessed with getting in, why didn't he ask Guinan, who know how to get in without efforts, for help? :headscratch:

Just one more thing (Yeesh! I sounds just like Columbo! :wow: ) How could Guinan be in the Nexus and on the ship at the same time when we know the Enterprise-D was in the middle of a crash landing?

Note - This is my 1100th post! I've been here way too much. :jawdrop: :brow: :loling: :woohoo:

Any ship, is either destroyed or damaged by the Nexus. He cannot fly a ship directly into the nexus.
He also knew that Gunian, would squeal on him.

Ok Columbo, Gunian was in the Nexus after the Nexus managed to destroy the planet. It killed the crew in prossess originally. Remember the Enterprise was landed by the time the Nexus arrived. In one scene you see the ships inhabbinants running for their lives. The Enterprise is torn and ripped and the planet explodes.

For Scotty talking about Kirk in Relics.......I think maybe Drex (or someone else) mentioned that it is explained in "Engines of Destiny."

It still ain't canon. If you watch Relics, its clear Scotty looked confused.

Here is something else I've notice about this movie. Did you see Picard's combadge? It seems to vanish every other scene he was in. Stramge.
