Apparently we look like this now
|
Picard was talking about having a tug freighter come and tow the Stargazer to "Xindi Station 9" Could we be talking about an Enterprise Xindi space station?

Are you serious? Do you mean I may actually have to sit through that worst of all TNG episodes just to see if there is such a comment? Is it possible that B&B might have yanked that little tidbit out of a TNG episode just to be sure they had a reference to justify their storyline? |

actually, according to Twiztv.com the actual words spoken by data are: 'Starfleet has responded to our request, sir. A tug will rendezvous with us and tow the Stargazer back to Xendi Starbase Nine. |

Yeah, I thought of the same thing until I read how they spelt Xendi. Swidden, The Battle is actually one of my favorite Season 1 episodes. of course I do think Season 1 gets a bad rap, but that's just me. |

True, but spellings of words change over time. About 200 years has passed since the Xindi thing and Picard. It's probably not the same thing. But it's possible. |

Do I really have to explain why it was so bad?

Perhaps in the 24th Century Picard and Data realised that Xendi was the Politically Correct Spelling |

This was a great episode! I can't believe I forgot it as one of the diamonds in the rough of TNG's first season. I like the spooky derelict ship, and the mysterious mind control device used on Picard. The scene at the end where Picard is giving orders to a bunch of ghosts on the bridge is classic. |
