:baby: :clock:

She's 7 days overdue.

With her two girls she delivered 2 days early ... with her two boys, 3 weeks late.

Rose,

With the boys being three weeks late, I don't think seven days is much of a concern. Ours have all been late, with one being nineteen days overdue. Best wishes. :)

Niece.

Actually we all wouldn't be concerned were it not for an upcoming family reunion. It's more important Mom and Baby are safe obviously, but, since we only see them a few times a year, we would hate to have to miss seeing them that day.

I know it sounds odd - many people I know look for excuses to get our of their reunions. We have people who have attended every year since they are children and now have children of their own - and aren't related to us by birth or marriage.

2 + 2 + 1 + 3 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 3 = This one will make 18.

We have three more due between Thanksgiving and Christmas. (I have 13 nieces and nephews.)

This niece had the first baby in the hospital and vowed never to do that again. She really takes all the recommended preparations for someone not going to the hospital and her husband is a doctor (although a radiologist), but she still makes me nervous.

Congratulations on the up and coming addition to the family. I only have one sibling and I am almost positive that he and his wife will not be having any children. So no nieces and nephews there. Unless you count their dogs and cats. ;)

Rose,

My wife feels the same way. She's had four in the hospital, and two at home. The two she has had at home have been the easiest deliveries, and the most stress-free. But since midwifery is not covered by insurance (the midwives are not doctors), we have to make our decision each time based on whether we want to shell out $1,800 (midwife) or $0.00 (hospital). The odd thing is, when we have our baby at home, we are actually saving the insurance company about $3,500. But still they don't recognize the midwives, so it isn't covered.
