Okay so it's not exactly night here but I wouldn't call it light, uit's sortta a shadowy greyish blue for me. Dusk I spouse would be a good description. |

People at the backs of our houses are having a party. Can smell the barbeque and now they have put up some lights around their house. An its just nicely warm at this time of evening as well. Ah if only it was like this ALL the time, you have to suffer the winter (dark a 4pm) to enjoy the summer I guess. |

I like it being lighter for longer - except when I get a little confused about the time! |

I love long days. Tonight I have summer school, and I hope at 10:00 PDT when I get out, it will still be kind of light outside. |

I got up to visit the chamber at 3:00 a.m. this morning and dawn was breaking; the birds were singing. By 4:00 am you could read a book outside. Almost felt like going for a walk, something I used to do when I was younger at this time of year. A strange feeling of bliss prevailed though as the sun streamed through my blinds and the faint cacaphony of birds singing lulled me back into a peaceful slumber. |

The longer (and warmer) the better. So did anyone do anything special on there longest day of the year . Here - it was the shortest day of the year and too windy / cool to be enjoyable . Nothing special. |

^^^ When I was visiting Calgary last year at this time it was light until 11:00pm. It was actually a bit hard to sleep. I like the long days - but it gets a bit tough when the little one won't go to bed because it is still light out. She also tends to get up at the crack of dawn sometimes.
