You scored as Judaism.

Your views are closest to those of Judaism. If you are not a Jew, do more research on Judaism and possibly consider becoming one; however, realize that conversion to Judaism is difficult. Judaism was the first of the Abrahamic faiths; it precedes both Christianity and Islam.

(top 3)

Judaism 88%
Islam 88%
Buddhism 63%

(bottom 3)

Christianity 17%
Satanism 8%
atheism 0%

^^^^ I wonder which question we answered differently? :P

I scored higher then you? You are orthodox, you know more about what we are supposed to believe then I do. :headscratch:

And you scored equal on Islam and Judaism. They could have told you to convert

You scored as Satanism.  Posted Image

Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.

Satanism  100%    :evil2:  :headscratch:

<< .... edit I am an athiest therefore don't believe in or follow any cult (including satanism) the quiz is flawed , is still biassed by the beliefs of christians or judism - I think. See the warning given by the quizmaster / mistress on describing my orientation - but still it was a hoot. :rotfl:  :loling: >>

atheism 92%
Buddhism  50%
Islam  50%
Paganism  50%
Judaism  33%
agnosticism  25%
Christianity  17%
Hinduism  0%

That was a waste of 5 minutes.

^^^ I think he was refering to the high Satanism score as opposed to the Athiest score.

Come to think of it - I don't particularly like that aspect of the scoring. Obviously they see a lot of Satanism in Athiesm. It appears that certain questions answered certain ways are scored to more then one religion. But I am not sure of thier accuracy in all of the religions.

For example - it appears from my survey that they see Islam and Judaism as very similar (92% and 88%) They tell you that you should belong to the religion that you score highest on - yet many people with scores far lower then 88% are being steered towards certain religions.

One question could have them steering me towards Islam, yet the reality is that those two religions are very very different despite some surface similarities. For example both have dietary laws so both would be covered by those questions with no thought for the differences within the dietary laws and the reasons for those laws as cited by the two religions.

I think perhaps some questions may have heavier weights that others irrespective of how they are rated by the quizee.

The description sounded very preachy to me - and I still suspect the quiz was constructed in such a manner and the scoring is heavily weighted towards the religious ideas held to by christians and jews and their particular dogmatic beliefs.

Note I scored 92% athiesm (I would have thought athiests would score higher) , my score on that is the highest so far - perhaps I'm more committed than the others.

By the way I scored neutral on the man/woman sexual rights question (I think our rights to sex are equal and it's a matter of equal rights to choose , and no one should force unwanted sex on anyone.)

Somerled - it was not based on "dogma" of anyone. It simply took certain beliefs and ascribed them in a very simplistic manner to various religions.

As for the question about having a right to sex - if you look at that in a historical sense rather then through modern sensibilites you will see how enlightened the idea is. At a time when most cultures felt that the man could do what he pleased, when he pleased, the Jewish culture was the only one to give women some empowerment. Jewish women were at one time the only females who had the right of inheritance as well.

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
There have been other culture in which women had rights and even sometimes superior rights than men.

Anywho, it looks as though anyone can make up a quiz and put it on that site. It shouldn't be considered as anything scientific and probably biased in some way, but rather just goofing off.

I already knew what my religious persuasions were any way and so did Minuet.

Just for grins, I took this test twice because there were certain questions that I would answer differently depending on interpretation.
The first time, I came out with Buddhism (OK, I can kinda see that); the second try showed me as Islamic (HUH????). Actually, I self-define a Pagan, having come from Christian roots.

Some of the questions were difficult for me to answer because I could see a couple of possible interpretations. For instance, the question of whether sex was a woman's right instead of a man's right -- well, I think it should be mutual and no one of either gender should be demanding anything of someone if it is not freely given. There just really wasn't an option for that kind of answer, though. There were other questions as well that just weren't as black-and-white for me, so I think that really skewed the results.

I answered that question the way I did because I came to it from a Jewish perspective. I didn't see it as a control issue as much as a respect issue. Not lack of respect for men - but a showing of respect (and protection) for women.

I do like that it is the woman who is given possesion of the marriage contract in my religion. Nowadays it's not so important - but from a historical perspective it really is revolutionary. The man promises to care for his wife as opposed to the wife becoming a possesion. One of the things that would be quite different from Islam, which is why I am still suprised that this survey puts Judaism and Islam so close together on the scale.

That is correct. I can't put my finger on which cultures but I think the Celts, the Polynesians and some american tribes granted equal if not superior sexual rights to wormen.

You scored as Christianity.

Your views are most similar to those of Christianity. Do more research on Christianity and possibly consider being baptized and accepting Jesus, if you aren't already Christian. Christianity is the second of the Abrahamic faiths; it follows Judaism and is followed by Islam. It differs in its belief of Jesus, as not a prophet nor historical figure, but as God in human form. The Holy Trinity is the concept that God takes three forms: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (sometimes called Holy Spirit). Jesus taught the idea of instead of seeking revenge, one should love his or her neighbors and enemies. Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to save humankind and forgive people's sins.

Christianity  88%
Islam  42%
Hinduism  38%
Judaism  33%
agnosticism  33%
Satanism  33%
Buddhism  33%
Paganism  25%
atheism  13%

I am somewhat surprised that I scored a bit higher on Hinduism than on Judaism.

I don't believe any poll can accurately reflect what's happening in a man's soul.
I myself am the....well,my title doesn't accurately translate into english.I guess "shaman" will do...for my community. My great-grandmother was before me,and her daughter after her,and my mother before me.
I am also a Christian,as I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and saviour. My tribal beliefs in the spirit world do not exclude this.
