^^^ Very poorly worded. I'm still reeling about being told I was influenced by Methodists when I am not even sure what they believe and never even knew one my entire life.

I was baptized Methodist and half my family is Methodist. I am not entirely sure how they differ from Catholics.

The question is "What is your theological world view?" yet it totally ignores the fact that many people's theology totally excludes Christianity.

As a Jew I could not answer a single question on that quiz. I guess I don't have a "theological world view" :(

Well if they are not that different, it could explain why they pegged me as influenced by Methodists rather than by Catholics. That makes sense. Thanks.

Well, you could just check off "disagree" on most of them.

A lot of the questiona are a "this or that" question, so picking disagree would mean you believe something stated in the question. A lot of the questions I had to pick in the middle meaning I nether agree or disagree.

Yes, you are right. I had to do the same. It was not only poorly worded but really far from complete in terms of trying to investigate each person's spiritual perceptual lens.

^^^ Precisely my point.

There have been other surveys posted that were far more inclusive in terms of the religions they lined you up with. I enjoyed taking that one - but it was a long time ago and I don't know the link.

I have to go out - but I will try and find the link later. I am sure it is in this forum.

There actually quite different as would be clear by walking into the Methodist church in my town and then walking along the road to the Roman Catholic church. For example the Catholic church is covered in ornate works of religious art. You can see crucifixes on diplay and there is a statue of Mary.

The Methodist church contains no statues or elaborate works of art. It has a simple uncovered Alter with a wooden cross.

The difference is also found in the leader of the service. The Methodists have a Minister who wears a black gown and different Ministers come round to different Churchs. In the catholic church you have a Priest who they call Father dressed up in elaborate clothing.

Other things are different two. For instance (correct if wrong) the Catholics believe that during Mass the bread and wine become the body and blood of Jesus whereas Methodists simply believe Communion is about rememberance of Christs sacrifice.

Also Methodist churchs tend to have far fewer Communion services, at least from what I have seen, whereas the Catholic church has Mass more than once per week.

I was thinking that maybe they were the same or similar in their theological beliefs rather than in their ceremonies and adornment of the church and so forth.
