THANK GOD, AT LAST SOMEBODY UNDERSTANDS!  Jerry Lewis' performance in "King of Comedy" was absolutely magnificent.

Favorite scene in the movie:

Jerry is feverishly working free of the tape Rupert has used to restrain him, as Crazy Marsha is about to force her feminine wiles on him.
There's tape everywhere. Marsha is gettin' nekkid awful quick.
Jerry sees the gun.
Here comes Marsha.
Jerry grabs the gun and shoots Marsha in the gut.
It's a toy pellet gun.
And as the psycho fan looms ominously over him, she says to Jerry...
"Don't be afraid of Marsha, baby."

Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime.

I liked that line. The film was filled with great scenes. I think the ones that most got to me were those of Rupert "practicing" in his mother's basement; and the ending, WOW!
