Time to put something here
Came upon this simple but informative site when I was looking for the Lyrics to one of Billy Joel’s songs.

Thanks Dante.

I already know most of the lyrics by heart. I am a huge Billy Joel fan. The lyrics are included with all the albums.

Very nice, D&D. However most singer-songwriters already had lyrics from their songs published on the web. Check this link for them.

Thanks for the links. I think my two favorites of Billy Joel are Goodnight Saigon and Piano Man.

You're welcome, Fes. One of my favorites - "I Knew the Bride (When she used to Rock n' Roll)" by Status Quo is terrific. I just wish I know where to get the album.

Digifan,

Status Quo--the group that did the song Pictures of Matchstick Men (1968), or some other group?

Good choices.

My favorite was not one of his larger hits - but when I saw him in concert he said it was one of his personal favorites. Scenes From an Italian Restaurant

All I like is "We didn't start the fire." But a lot of people find that song annoying....I've memorized all the lines. A good song. And at the University of New Orleans there is a history course that uses that song as a guide.

Scenes From an Italian Restaurant and Goodnight Saigon are very well written songs with a lot of meaning, you rarely find stuff like this now a days.

Piano Man is a catchy tone and the one he is most fames fore.

My favorite song is not at all fames for him, and was only added as a new song on his greatest hits album Second Wind although the reason it is my favorite is more sentimental then because of its credits as a song.

I all ways thought it might be nice if the last decade where added to that song, and I often wonder what events would be added to that verse.

Defiant,

I like that song as well. The text is very provocative--it makes me think every time I hear it.

Dandandat, I thought about doing my own lyrics ....I tried to look on the internet to see any new fan versions (with no luck). But The Simpsons did a version at the end of an episode.

It makes me think as well, but I was born in '82 and the song ends in '89.....so I don't remember anything. I'm sure it has a greater effect if you lived during those times.

I'm surprised that Challenger wasn't mentioned.
