President Will Lay Wreath at Arlington

WASHINGTON - Official ceremonies and solemn visits will mark Memorial Day at Arlington National Cemetery.

The formal wreath-laying ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. EDT at the Tomb of the Unknowns.    President Bush will be among those paying respects to the nation's war dead.

And the Memorial Day parade in Washington will feature one of the country's oldest veterans. Lloyd Brown was 16 years old when he signed up to fight in World War I. He's now 103, and one of an estimated 30 U.S. veterans of World War I still alive.

Thanks to those who are currently serving, those who have served and those who have paid the ultimate price so we can enjoy the freedoms we have today. God Bless them all and God Bless the United States of America.

I had a wonderful Memorial Day yesterday, why? Because I spent it freely.

Amen.

As for my memorial day, I was unfortunately forced by circumstance to don my alter-ego persona of Laundry-Nazi. Ein volk, ein Reich un ein vashing machine.

It is difficult to goose-step whilst laden with a basket full of cloths. My blitz-krieg attack on my closet and the kids hamper was a success. Only the dirty underwear put up much of a fight. The bathroom towels folded at the first sign of trouble. My shirts resisted at first but were soften up a bit in the dryer. I socked it to my, um socks. The lint tried to escape but fell into my trap. By the end I was a basket case.

Just once, I'd like to have something clever to put here.

Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity will do.

I thought about something religious, but I didn't want to irritate everyone.

We have a modicum of free speech on this Board. Put it up. That's an order.
