I might ask for it for my birthday or as a christmas gift. On the other hand I might rent it.

I think I am going to wait and see if they come out with a 10 disc movie set after the Nemesis special edition comes out.

I don't think the CE or DE version are available but the original ten movies are available in a super box set. Check Amazon or other online stores for details.

I had just received my copy of Insurrection. :) I think I will spend the next few hours to review its contents. Stay tune...

Clear throat. Okay, folks. Like it or not, here it comes. The following is a summary of my review of this CE version of the movie:

1 - The disks. Very nice disk cover art and menu designs. It gave me a game environment like feel to the introduction. It's too bad the production team didn't include the codes to the menu listings. All I got were a whole list of Klingon inspired symbols.

2 - Commentaries. It's a shame we couldn't hear Frakes going through the scenes. Instead we had the production team - Denise and Michael Okuda - giving us text windows filled with interesting titbits. For example - A lot of the movie stages were borrowed from TNG, VOY and DS9 sets. :ermm:  Levar Burton was given credit for becoming a fine director with directing over 20 Trek episodes to his name. Maybe we can get him to direct the next movie? :headscratch:

3 - I am disappointed with the deleted scenes. If I mentally place them within the movie the cut scenes doesn't really make sense to me. I was hoping for a reference to Quark and how Worf came aboard from DS9. There were nothing in there.

Overall this movie is quite good. It's still slow at times.

Nobody else give a [beep] about this movie? :headscratch: What are the chances of Nemesis CE, if it ever come out, being review here?

Administrative Response

Digifan - this post received plenty of answers.

We do not allow bumping of posts. If people have said all they want to then that's it. Please do not bump any more threads in this manner

Huh? I am not bumping the thread, Min. I am just wondering why no one else is interested in entering their reviews of this movie here, that's all. Is this wrong?

This thread has recieved over 50 replies. Bringing it back after 2 days of no response and admonishing others for not responding sure looks like a bump to me.

Everyone who is interested in the topic has responded.

Min,

This thread has been popular for the last several days, and being at the top of the forum, that means it hasn't been bumped. No need for administrativeness, but thanks still. ;)

Digi,

I care about the movie but I havn't seen it in a long time and I don't plan to get the CE anytime soon. Personally, from what I remember, I'm in a minority because I thought Insurrection was alright. As for Nemesis, no I won't be buying that, but it better be better than what we got on the original. Maybe we could have another Audio commentary, and maybe even a formal apology from Logan for screwing up TNG so badly.

I really didn't like Insurrection much. I liked parts of it I guess, but mostly just because of the groovy special effects. I thought the story was simplistic and dull. I would be interested in seeing interviews, but again, I'm going to wait for the 10 movie set.

^^^ We have had a bit of a problem with subjects in Politics being bumped. We have been cracking down and I was just being consistent here. :wave2:
