Of course you don't.

You can add one beside the T now.

I see you added one beside the T but didn't take my advice on the letters you need to add.

Of course if you kept track of those letters and a few others it would be impossible to claim bias on the part of those you are keeping track of. The truth would show.

It seems to me that the Republicans got what they wanted here. Three more of their judicial nominees will recieve up or down votes. What have the Democrats gained?

YOU ARE THE MINORITY PARTY!!! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!!!

The Republicans aren't supposed to bend over backwards to make you happy. We are in control now. Get used to the idea. You had control for sixty some years. Let us have a chance. A majority of Americans voted for the re-election of Bush. Americans gave Republicans a larger majority in the House and Senete. We control a majority of state houses and govenerships. YOU HAVE LOST POWER.

Besids, it was the Democrats that won. We only got three out of the ten for sure, and the Dems are allowed to fillibuster any other judge that they deem to be 'extreme'.

Once again, Republicans can't show a little backbone to you Democrats. The Republicans need to realize that they are the majority party in Washington now and act like it. I'd say more, but Jeopardy is almost on. It's the finals of the Ultimate Tournamant of Champions.

CVS, calm down. Sounds to me like you are angry at the decision the Republicans made in this situation - don't take it out on Democrats (in general). Take it out on the people you are actually mad at in this case - the Republican leadership who agreed to this.

Okay. You're right, I am mad at the Republicans caving in (espicially McCain). But I am also mad at the Democrats for thinking that they still control Congress.

On a side note, at least there is a clear, defined majority and minority parties at the national level. The Iowa Senete is split evenly, and nothing got done in this session. We went three weeks into overtime trying to get a budget. We came dangerously close to haveing state agencies shut down.

Gvok,

Take the last commonly known digit of Pi. Apply it to your code (working backwards), and I think (although I am not yet certain) that you would have:

O
N
A
H

Is this correct?

If the Republicans let the Democrats control Congress, they do. (and vice versa as applicable)

I'm confused. It's not you, I'm just tired and may not be reading you correctly, but what do you mean?

At the moment, the Republicans are the majority of both houses in Congress. They can run the place. They can do it well or they can do it badly. They can be charitable or they can be petty.

Or they can choose to not exert the control they have been given and let the minority party dictate the decisions. It's not the minority party's fault. Wouldn't you take control of something if you were given the opportunity? Why blame the Democrats for taking the control of the situations that the Republicans allowed them to take? Blame the Republicans for failing to act like the party that the voters elected to a majority.

Okay, I understand now. Like I said, I am mad at the Republicans. Mostly at McCain and those moderates for compermising. Somewhat at Frist for not following through on his threat to use the Constituional Option. That's why I said up further that it was the Dems that won because the Republicans aren't showing the spine to be the majority.

At least I think I wrote that. I may have just been thinking it. Like I said, I didn't get a good nights sleep last night and am tired. If I didn't say it before, I said it now. at myself

I just finished watching Senator Warner on Special Report with Britt Hume (FNC) and I actually am feeling better about this whole thing. First, there is the promise that the Democrats will not use the filibuster unless circumstances are extraordinary. It appears that if even two Republicans feel that the Democrats are using the filibuster in non-extraordinary circumstances, they can and will go to Frist and say that he has their vote for the constitutional option. Second, if the Democrats hold true to their promise, then if the party wants to filibuster and they feel it violates the agreement, they can refuse and the filibuster can't be mounted. Third, both Warner and Graham stated that they have assurance from the Democrats on their little committee that the fact that the judge is a conservative will NOT be considered an "extraordinary circumstance" justifying a filibuster. Now this doesn't do much when it comes to a Supreme Court vacancy but it may not be as bad as I thought. Time will tell.
