How about a Voyager Movie

I have read the basic Masonic message. It sounds like Christian word but without directly mentioning Christ. WTF? Can one be a Christian as well as a Mason? Your thoughts will be well received and apreciated. |

Well, from what I understand yes. Historically, you could not be Catholic and be a Mason. Protestant, yes. |

Apparently we look like this now

I havent heard anything about the Masons that would lead me to believe that you could be both...of course, I'm just going by the History Channel report on them. I have no intrest in becoming one. |

Jag, According to my understanding of Masons, no. From what I can tell (granted, I have read biased sources on the subject), the resurrection is denied. This is a primary reason why they (Masons) are included in many cult books I have read over the years. |

My wife's grandfather was both a Methodist and a Mason.

^^^ My grandfather was as well. He always told me that I could join if I wished, but he never pushed it on me--thankfully. |

It always seems it comes back to secret decoder rings and difficult to housebreak multi-headed demon beasts... |

^^^ Correct. I tried for quite some time to get my grandfather to discuss it, but the only way he would was if I agreed to become a member. In the paraphrased words of Kirk, 'I couldn't damn him for his loyalty.'

"War and Peace" has quite a bit to say about the Masons as one of the main characters becomes one. I don't know how accurate the description is though. |

I know that the Catholic Church has at least considered excommunicating member who join the Masons. I also doubt that most of the entry-level Masons know all the details of the organization, so it may appear harmless to some and not to others. I don't know, and I don't care. I do know that when in a cemetry I see a lot of tomb stones with Masonic emblems on them. It strikes me that among the few things important enough to put on your tombstone, membership in the Masons should be one. It seems to be very important to the members. |

The Knights of Columbus seem lame in comparison to the Masons though. |
