I think Picard's breakdown in "Family" was one. It humanized the character. The other, would be Sito Jaxa's going MIA in "Lower Decks". This happens after Picard explains why he asked for her aboard his ship. How he wanted to give her another chance after the Nova Squadron incident. |

^^^ Right on. And that explanation of Capt. Picard's parallels beautifully what occurred (albeit among different people--Wesley and Capt. Picard--and for slightly different reasons) in The First Duty. |

First off: Can we All cease and desist from using the 6 letter F word. Secondly: Isn't that what these trek forums are for? |

I think the Eppisode with Data and his daughter takes the cake myself. Hands down. Although I must say, most of the others listed are up there. |

Are you ashamed of what you are? Or do you think that it is sexist and should be fanpersonist? Would a rose by any other name........ |

No, the correct term to be used to describe the obsessed Trek fan is "trekkie", the F term was originally coined to describe comic book fans, but has now taken on a derogatory meaning. "Trekkie" is to Batman as "F-----" is to Robin |

No. They are for listing fanboys, and for doing other things as well.

I voted for Tasha's funeral and Sarek's degeneration. |

^^^ Your first example is the first time I ever cried during TNG, and your second example has (IMO) perhaps the most moving piece of music (the Brahms, not the Mozart) I have ever heard in any Trek. We heard the Brahms (in D minor) as we saw the tear. I greatly appreciate the camera work leading up to and during that special moment. |

Tasha was the best character on the show at that time, and I was always annoyed that she never got the development that the others did. Her death was painful enough, but the self-performed holographic eulogy was really sad.

I hate to be a jerk, but I was glad they wrote her off the show. She wasn't very convincing to me as a tough cookie. Visitor did that far better. Besides, it's obvious if you have a Klingon on the ship, he should be chief of security.

Yes, sela was cool. Yar just seemed a little wrong to me. Worf all the way! |

Dr. Noah, Perhaps. But don't forget too that Worf bet on Yar in the ship's pool. His respect of Tasha is for me enough to believe that she was as tough as they come.
