The station was able to repel the Klingons in Way of the Warrior.

And as a matter of fact, other facilities were built on the Bajoan moons as evidenced in the first few episodes of the 7th season when a Romulan hospital on one of Bajor's moons turned away a Vulcan crew and was discovered to be harboring weapons. DS9's weapons were upgraded continuously, and there were always dozens of ships patrolling the sector. We can assume that the Federation probably built more facilities on and around Bajor and it's moons.

Nowhere near enough

^^^

Sorry to have to say thid Noah, but that was really only because the Klingons stood down. The station would have beed battered had it not been for that.

Well, it was barely managing as it was, it had been boarded, Ops was swarming with Klingons, as was just about everywhere else, which obviously meant shields were down, It wouldn' have taken long for them to overcome it. IMO.

EDIT >> Aw, now I feel dirty for disagreeing with Noah! I'm sorry if i have damaged our friendship!

Not at all! You're right, they had a lot of trouble, but in the end, they held. And personally, I would think the Klingons would be harder to hold off than the Cardassians. Sure, they're probably just as formidable in space, but at least the Cardassians don't brandish blades and cut people up when they board!

I'm not saying that DS9 didn't have plot holes, or episodes that suck, or boring characters. I just think you don't know enough about the show to point those out especially since I explained all the ones you mentioned. To be fair, here are the things I noticed:

Plot holes: In the seventh season, Worf says nobody has seen the Breen outside their uniforms, yet in the fourth season, Kira and Dukat steal uniforms and hide in them. Also, in the seventh season, in The Emporer's New Cloak, it's said that the Klingons of the mirror universe don't have a cloaking device, but in Through the Looking Glass you see Alliance ships clearly decloaking.

Episodes that suck: This is a bit subjective but here's my list: Q-Less, Move Along Home, Storyteller, Forsaken, Passenger, Second Sight, Sanctuary, Meridian, Facination, The Muse, He Who is Without Sin, Profit and Lace, and Time's Orphan.

Boring characters: I think Jake is kind of boring, but fortunately, they didn't focus on him that much.

Yes Ds9 did have dodgy episodes plot holes and so forth the difference betweena good show and a bad one is which ones are more ntably which ones do you care about more.

I've seen every episode at least twice, except two in season 2 that no video store seems to have

More on the finale from trek today:

Quote:

"These Are The Voyages..." will be set six years after the other fourth-season episodes, and will see Archer and the rest of the crew return home for the decommissioning of the Enterprise, as well as the signing of the Federation charter. UPN has officially confirmed that Jonathan Frakes (William T. Riker) and Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) will appear on the Enterprise finale, in a sequence set on the holodeck.

This is crazy.. If they are going to bring back both Riker and Troi, and have Data on the communcator they should just as well bring back the entire crew off of the USS Enterprise D. :spank:
