From Trek Today.

It seems we will hear Data over the comm in 'These are the Voyages'

and it also seems Spiner is in talks to have a recurring role in Bragas new show Threshold

Brent Spiner (Data) revealed this weekend he will have a minor off-screen part in the Enterprise series finale, "These Are The Voyages..."

Spiner made his comments during the Vulkon Orlando science fiction convention, which was also attended by several Stargate SG-1 and X-Files actors. According to TrekToday reader Dale, Spiner said he will be speaking four lines in the finale, which were written by himself.

The Enterprise series finale will guest-star Jonathan Frakes (William T. Riker) and Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), and has been rumored to take place partially during a specific Next Generation episode. Presumably, Spiner's speaking role means Data will be heard over a communicator in one or more scenes.

In addition to his cameo in the Enterprise finale, Spiner also discussed his role on the new Brannon Braga series Treshold. The SyFy Portal's Michael Hinman sent along word that Spiner revealed he will be playing a doctor, and that he will have a smaller, but recurring role.

"These Are The Voyages..." is scheduled to air on the 13th of May. If picked up for a full series, Treshold will likely debut this fall.

This finale is sounding worse and worse the more I hear about it. I am glad that B&B can no longer screw up Trek any further though.

All it is, is that you hear Data over the comm.

I dont think you can infer anything from it.

but I'm glad I gave you a chance to indulge in some B&B bashing.

I'm looking forward to this ep, far more than the mirror universe one, that will be season 4's 'meridian'

Yes, I too am looking forward to B&B doing some more apocryphal crap as if they didn't do enough with TNG in Nemesis. At least after this season they're mucking with Trek will end.

At this stage I'll remind you that Braga does not appear in the credits for Nemesis, as either writer or story creator.

john Logan is the only one credited for the screenplay.

Story is credited with Logan, Berman and Spiner.

So how much did Braga in particular have to do with it, were B&B heavily involved or did they just pass the work on to others and go on holiday?

Yeah, is there anything Spiner won't do, mind you he probbaly thinks this is gonna bea good idea just as Insurection was a good idea and nemasis.

Aapparntly this holodeck episode will actually be set during a tng episode. I don't know why, it just will be. I'll try to find a link to the article where I found this "nugget" of info.

God this is sounding worse and worse, yeah and Seven of Nine will pop up too (fans like her) oh and we'll have a fight with the Borg and the Klingons (Fans like them too) god how can this episode fail. *sarcasm*

Like the movies, you wont see any DS9 characters, I wonder why that is? ;)

Because DS9 proved that Behr and co were far better writers than they and they resent it.

Oh thats why they dont pay attention to DS9 canon, all this time I thought they ignored DS9 cos it was a niche series that casual trekkies and non trekkies had no idea about

A niche series that told the story of the greatest war the Federation, indeed the Alpha Quadrant has ever seen. Yeah, not really worth paying any attention to.
