There's a really brilliant song by Leonard Cohen entitled 'Hallelujah'.
On a Cohen tribute album there is a version sung by John Cale ( of Velvet Underground) that is just one of the most moving vocal performances in the history of rock or popular music.
The album is titled I'm Your Fan- The Songs of Leonard Cohen.
It also appears in the movie Shrek, but only in the film. The album version is sung by Rufus Wainwright.

Slick,

Cale rocks! He did some wonderful string work with Eno as well. But I also admire the viola work he did with The Velvet Undergound, esp. the first album.

I can't find a website that shows the notes on how high to sing it.
