I don't know. Maybe it is?

I'm now trying to think of my favorite Zep tune of all-time. Right now, it would be either Kashmir (a masterpiece IMO) or Dancing Days. There is so much to love about those two songs (and about Physical Graffiti and Houses of the Holy as albums).

Ya know, I am just about Kashmir'ed out. I have heard that song so many times that I am just sick of it. It is a cool song and all, but I should avoid it for a few years so I can like it again.

Let me toss these gems out for your consideration:

  • Nobody's Fault But Mine
  • Since I've Been Loving You
  • No Quarter
  • Bring It On Home
  • Hey, Hey, What Can I Do
[/i]
I love all of those songs.

Fortunately Zepplin has plenty of great stuff to listen to so if you feel a little tired of one thing, you can just switch to another album, by the time you go full circle, it's like loving them all over again. :D

I have a giant directory of MP3 from all of my Zep CDs on my computer and listen to them all the time. For some reason, I am sick to death of Black Dog and Kashmir.

Maybe because they play both of those on the radio all the time. I still love Stairway, but it gets WAAAAAAYYYYY too much airtime.

The Ocean from the Houses of the Holy album was one of my favorites for a while because of one verse that resonated with me.

Now I'm singing all my songs to the girl who won my heart,
she is only 3 years old and that's a real fine way to start.

But, my eldest daughter turned 4 and my younger one just turned 2, so maybe in another year.

You're right about that. Too much airtime. That is why I enjoy listening to the stuff that isn't played so much. They made so much good music, that you can listen to it all day long.

For some reason, I don't get sick of Stairway. The way the song builds up to the finale is just intoxicating.

How true. It's like three awsome songs put together.

Maybe we should start a favorite Zepplin lyrics thread? ;)

38957 (and Noah),

The Ocean--isn't that the one with the incredibly funky meter? I think so. I think that that side of Houses of the Holy is phenomenal (the one with The Ocean, No Quarter, etc.)--isn't The Crunge on that side as well?

BTW, I don't believe I know Nobody's Fault But Mine.

I think the Crunge is the song just before The Ocean. And Nobody's Fault But Mine is on the first album I believe.

I see. Is that from Zep I (1969)? I don't own that one, although I have heard it a few times.

[Fesarius looks cautiously over his shoulder, knowing that 38957 will be in the room soon, with stick in hand, beating Dr. Noah and Fesarius senseless for having the audacity to discuss a subject that is but child's play to him. Fes looks around, and hears 38957 clearing his throat. ;)]

Nobody's Fault But Mine; album: Presence I'h hum it, but that is very difficult to do on a message board. You can listen to a sample on BN. :)

Where's that confounded bridge?
