Are you sure about that? I thought the answer would be Michael Jackson's Thriller album. It was near the end of the vinyl era - but I have it on vinyl so I know that's what it came out on. |

^^^ I see. It may be Thriller. If it isn't that, then it may be an ABBA or Beatles album. I know McCartney had the largest-selling single of all-time (breaking the record held by She Loves You) with his Mull of Kintyre (sp.?). But I think that that has since been eclipsed. |

It was an infommercial for a collection of 80s CDs, and the guy said New Orders' Blue Monday was the biggest selling 12" of all time, but he was talking about a single. If a 12" is an LP why would anyone call it a 12" and not an LP? Are we sure a 12" is an LP, I have no idea. Then again, just cos it was on an infomercial doesnt mean its right |

Ok - I'll give you on an EP They played at 45RPM, not 33 and usually had 2 or 3 songs per side as compared to around 6 songs per side for a 33RPM. |

I own some Beatles EPs. They have four songs on them--two on each side, with a solid, thicker groove separating the two songs. They are slightly smaller (more like 10"). Just an FYI.
