Not a big deal.

Most people I know can survive without either. And in my household it will take a long time before we run out of tea bags .

Anyway, tea is grown and cultivated in the mountains, so the tsunamis and flooding will have little if any effect on the supply and quality of the product.

As usual, another uncaring, thoughtless comment from Somerled.

He never fails to disappoint.

Never bothered considering this post

Likely had little or no effect on them as they live near the plantations in the main with their extended families and clans.

I think if you check you'll find that tea prefers the tropical alpine climate.

Did you?

I know enough about how Cylon tea is grown to be pretty sure the desaster , which was entirely coastal , will have have little if any effect on people involved . So before you make more of fool of yourself - I suggest you find out something about these people and how and where the product is grown.

Yes, I did, but that doesn't mean you aren't a hate mongering religo-phobe.

Yet another new word coined by ABG.

And how does that response contribute anything worthwhile to the discussion. Could it be that you've been shown up again and don't like it.

PS: I'm an athiest - you're a dumb redneck pr1ck.

Yup, I did coin that one!

Proud of it, too!

Son, you haven't contributed anything to this discussion but to throw out a flawed premise (thanks, ANOVA) that shows your ignorance on yet another topic.

Oooh, looks like I struck a nerve, Sparky.

You may be an athiest, but you're also a bigot.

Guys - stop now or the thread is closed.

Go right ahead, Min...

With comments like this from our antipodean poster:

... this thread is nothing more than an indicator of his egocentric mindset. In fact, I'd suggest closing a lot of these threads for lack of intelligent discussion.

What about my egocentric mindset?

I am after all, the center of my own universe. ;)

Really, somerled, redneck pr**k ?! almost as bad as Dwayne's little jacka$$ comment. Actually worse. Since Dwayne's attack was directed soley at you, while you used a regional stereotype to construct yours.

Anova,

Hi. Time to start thinking about that home again, eh? ;)

Ah yes:

Craftsmen style maybe Frank Loyd Wright inspired concrete cantilever over a creek. Much Acreage, forested with only an acre standoff around the house.

And out buildings:

The obligatory shed, the green house and the boatshop (for building)

Maybe some livestock. A smal flock of sheep and an australian sheepdog.

Not the I've been thinking about it any :D

ANOVA
And room for a pony.

We've begun plans to build a barn. (All of our children have experience riding and taking care of horses, but they have yet to own them.) Should be fun! :)

Hope he engineered the cantilever properly. Cantilevered decks sometimes fail catastrophically.

My appologies to the rednecks who might have been insulted and upset by my lumping them together with ABG. That was particularly nasty of me. :evil1:

Actually they all called me to tell me, "Way to go!"

Pathetic.

Do you see your own bigotry? Making crass statements that equate to, "What's the big deal because my house has plenty of teabags" is, at best, in poor taste.

You simply made the statement to disagree with me, without regard to the suffering these people endure, while you sit; fat, dumb, and happy in your comfy chair.

As I said before, PATHETIC.

Actually , you assumed that tea production in Ceylon was also effected by the tsumanis and tried to make out you actually cared. If you had cared you would have checked the facts and found out how and where tea is cultivated in Ceylon (and India and elsewhere) and might have discovered that it was red herring.

Now, the people who have been effected are the pessant farmers who rely on their fish and prawn farms , and fisherfolk , and those who rely on tourism and internal holiday makers on the COAST.

So don't come the raw prawn with me sunshine.
