pre (/11, he visited an army base in army uniform. he posed in a mock battle scenario looking through binoculars... (the reason I know this is because I saw a spoof of that particular one- lenscaps on while he's looking)

Anyway, the ones I'm referring to are pretty much forgotten. them might be on the internet somwhere, but it would take hours or days to find them.

and technically, he does hold the rank of lieutenent. So he can wear a uniform of that level from the air force at the very least.

And this shows why, not only your memory, but your opinion ought to be suspect.

As anyone can see, Mr. Bush is not in a uniform.

you beat me too it, Dwayne.

Funny thing guys... this is a Photoshop picture!

It was taken in 1993 at the DMZ on the DPRK-ROK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea (aka North Korea)-Republic of Korea (aka South Korea)) border. The guy holding the glasses is actually... get ready for it... BILL CLINTON! :rotfl:

As for uniform, the president can wear whatever one he wants as COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE ARMED FORCES. Bill Clinton wore the older style desert fatigues when he presented medals to servicemen who participated in Desert Storm. No one seemed to mind.

If we want to get anal about it, President Bush HAD to wear the flight suit when he flew the Hoover (S-3 Viking) to the carrier. Just as I had to wear one the one time I flew in the back seat of an F/A-18D. President Bush wore a business suit when he addressed the crew later.

There was no "in" in that comment. I was trying to make a pun about  people saying that they respect the Uniform, if not the man, and I was referencing that. (and bush has worn other uniforms before for photo ops... Army, marine....

No, he hasn't.

Wearing a jacket is not wearing a uniform, any more than just wearing a baseball cap with a naval vessel's insignia. The famous picture of Clinton (now Bush) wearing that olive drab jacket is no big deal. It was done because of snipers. A North Korean sniper would see someone at that post wearing a business suit and figure out, "Hey, this guy's important!" Bang. All done.

As for saying "and bush has worn other uniforms before for photo ops... Army, marine...." you really should research before you make a blanket statement.

Thanks. I didn't think Bush was near the front lines, but my mind might have been drawing a blank. Go figure

I dislike President Bush more now than I have at any time during his presidency.

Sighhhh... what has he done now, Benetil?

:rotfl:

Sorry, I couldn't resist. You have to admit. Some of these apply. I guess it all depends on how you choose to interpret the definitions. Based on the president's last four years, those definitions most certainly could apply. But that's just my liberal lefty biased opinion. :D

Have you decided to change your name, Intrepid? Just curious...

What I don’t understand and find funny and sad actually are those who try to paint Bush as the anti-Christ.

Whoa! Where did that one come from? Anti Christ? I think not.
