Don't female boars have mammary glands? I don't get the analogy. Yes, the UN did nothing, as did the US. Did it infuriate you that the US did nothing? |

Boars are male, SOWS are female. Yes, it did infuriate me that the Clinton Administration did nothing! |

But you didn't like getting involved in the ethnic cleansing in Bosnia. About the boars, how does one differentiate between domestic and wild sows? |

News flash: There WAS LITTLE IF ANY "Ethnic Cleansing" in Bosnia. That's why. Why are we still there? |

For the last time... a bore is a male pig. A female pig is called a sow. Why would a male pig need mammaries. Is this sinking in or are you being deliberately bi**hy today? |

So there's a certain body count necessary for you to think we should get involved? I wasn't aware we are still there. I thought the UN peacekeeping only was there. Since we're involved in two perpetual conflicts now, we shouldn't be. |

I think that the US can be unbiased. We have been in the past. It appears that we are biased, because we are opposed to the likes of Arafat and HAMAS. But we have been very much on the side of the Palestinian people in the past. |

Yes, a certain body count does need to exist. Is one person, killed by a gang of another ethnic group a valid reason to invade a country? Don't be a fool. Bill Clinton thought he had a quick "in and out" to build a legacy upon. He was wrong. Yes, we are still there... mostly National Guard units... and we are involved in ONE conflict right now, and it is not perpetual. |

I don't know, and I'll admit that. I will say more than Bosnia. That should have been a UN problem only. Stop making excuses and stop this pigeonholing BS. |

I'm just asking questions. Why does that bother you? Believe it or not, I'm not trying to spite you. I'm just interested on your take. Don't we still have troops under fire in both Afghanistan and Iraq? |

You know, I'm acctually disagreeing with ABG on Bosnia. I think, that as the most powerfull country on Earth, we do have the moral obligation to 'intervene' when there is any mass murder of civilians that is sanctioned by the government. That's why we went into Bosnia. Maybe ABG is right, that Clinton was just trying to build a legacy (I wouldn't doubt it), and I also beleive that the UN could have done more, they could have done more in Rwanda, and Sudan. But lets face it, who is the backbone of the UN? Who provides more monetary and military support for UN operations? For the most part, it is America. I'm not saying that other countries don't do their part. They do what they can, it's just that America has more ability to do more of the stuff the UN needs. PS, Admiral, you're right about the Cliff Clavin analogy.

As someone who knows several Bosnians and Croatians very closely, they are by-and-large glad we came as the Europeans were only making things worse by putting them at the mercy of the Serbs living up to weapons phony agreements, the UN was useless and the Serbs were very brutal. I don't expect you hear much of that in the news. |

What do you think it means ? It's a very common expression used in everyday speech here. Has no obscene connotations in the context I used it in. So butt out unless you have something worth while to say. |
