Recent talk on prawns got me thinking of my aversion to Baked Beans, now Prawns arent normal , but Baked Beans are an ordinary food item, but I have never been able to take the taste of them

I'm talking about Canned Baked Beans here.

Its not beans per se, I love Red Kidney beans, especially in Chilli.

But never could stand the taste of Canned Baked Beans, this is something that has been with me since early childhood, maybe I had a bad experience with them when I was a tot, but I cant stand them and I dont really know why.

Anyone else have an aversion to an ordinary everyday food item?

Pickles are an odd one for me too, I cant stand eating a whole pickle, but I love pickle slices on a cheesburger

Same here.

Also, i can eat things as long as i don't see them. For instance, i hate mushrooms, but i can eat a chicken and mushroom pie as long as i don't see a mushroom, but as soon as i do, the pie dosen't get eaten!

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
I just hate mayonaise. My mom used to put too much of it on every friggin' sandwich or whatever she made and I guess I just got sick of it. My wife knows better than to put mayonaise on anything for me.

With the canned backed beans, it is probably because they flavor them with something containing a lot of sugar. That is why I don't really care for them that much.

I think that I've eaten about as much oatmeal as I ever care to eat in my entire life. I lived off of it for so long that I am just permanently sick of it. I'm not a friggin' horse!

I love fruit. I love ham/pork. Please don't cook these two things together. They don't belong in the same pot.

Mushrooms for me. I don't like them in any form. If they have been cooked into somthing, I will pull them out and leave them on my plate.

I also don't like fruit and milk together. No strawberry ice cream or peach shakes although I would have a vanilla shake while eating a peach with no qualms.

I am not a big fan of green bellpeppers. I sometimes like the flavor that the bellpepper gives to certain dishes, and occasionally I will eat a dish with the bellpepper in it. However, overall I don't like eating green bellpeppers. It just depends on how they are cooked (what dish they are in/on top of).

For example, small pieces of bellpepper in a baked bean dish and small bellpepper in chilli is really good. I will usually pick the bellpepper off a pizza though. Also, no raw bellpepper. I like stuffed bellpeppers (i.e. I will eat the mix inside the pepper...not the actual bellpepper). Also, the onion/bellpepper mix that comes with fajitas is pretty good.

I like red and yellow bellpeppers more.

24 just described one of my food aversions - I do not like bell peppers either.

My other food I dislike is olives. Can't stand them. However, I love olive oil and use it all the time.
