I dont know if this came out earlier in the states, but here it started 26/12. I was hesitant about this movie as I had read some bad reviews. went to see it Boxing Day Night, and laughed my tooshie off. I found it much funnier than the original. Barbara Streisand in particular is quite good, Dustin Hoffman and Deniro are also very funny. Ben Stiller is NEVER funny, and nothing changes here, but in this movie he plays starightman to everyone elses antics, which was the same in Meet The Parents, the only other Stiller movie I could stand him in. Very very funny parts were - when DeNiro gets zapped by the stun gun, Streisands sex class for the elderly, the fondeau scene :loling:, and the baby - whos first word is aaaaasss hoool, oh and DeNiro's apparatus for feeding the baby :loling:, not exactly high brow humour, but funny |

Yeah, Ben Stiller always plays the same part in almost every movie. |

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.

I really didn't like the first movie, so I haven't been interested in seeing the second. It does have Dustin Hoffman in it, doesn't it? He might be worth seeing. |

Ditto... I didn't like the first movie much, and really have zero desire to see this one. |

I didnt like the first one that much either, I only laughed at DeNiro in that one. IMO this one is much better, worth the ticket for Streisand,DeNiro and Hoffman, they are the stars of this one. Stiller is a really bad comedic actor, he has no timing, I dont know why he keeps getting these roles |

Stiller was quite good when he was with Meara. Perhaps he needed her as part of the team to be funny.

^^^ Wrong Stiller! They are talking about Anne and Jerry's son, Ben. |

I didn't particularly like Meet the Parents, so I won't be rushing out to watch Meet the Fockers. I'll just wait until it comes out on video or pay per view. I don't think Ben Stiller is all that funny either. I did like him in Zoolander. That movie was so kooky it was funny. Stiller has had a few good bit parts as well. I like him more when he plays really outrageous characters. They tend to fit his "acting" style better. |

^^Zoolander is about how male models are brainwashed to carry out political assignations. Stiller (Derek Zoolander) plays a clueless male model who is brainwashed to kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia at a fashion show. A reporter (his wife in real life) helps him figure out what's going on and... I won't go any further. That way if you do watch the movie you won't know everything. If you want a kooky/funny movie to watch, Zoolander is your movie. |

Zoolander dumbed me down by every second I watched it. Poor. Simply poor. I shut it off and would rather watch paint dry. I liked Something about Mary but Zoolander was intellectually insulting. Even the adolescent in me was disgusted and bored. No offense intended, I cut it off. I could not get there. |

^^Zoolander wasn't supposed to be Academy Award material.
I actually hated Something about Mary. Zoolander was stupid, but it was a better movie than Something about Mary (IMO).
