I'm just wondering what the favorite one is. Mine is either The Hunt for Red October, or Clear and Present Danger |

I'm gonna go with Hunt for Red October. Very suspenseful and full of surprises. Plus it has Sean Connery!!!

I chose Clear and Present because I liked the story and it had Harrison Ford, Hunt was second and it had Sean Connery. I loved Last crusade because of this. |

I think Patriot Games is the best in the bunch. Good story, suspenseful, the characters were engaging... I enjoyed Clear and Present Danger too. I haven't seen all of THRO. However, I am not a major Baldwin fan. TSAF was on the verge of being bad. Ben Affleck sucked in that movie (he sucks in most movies). Sorry that isn't an eloquent way to describe a character. He did not do the Jack Ryan character justice at all IMO. I guess the only Jack Ryan I like is the one played by Harrison Ford. He just owns that part. |

"Patriot Games". Ford nailed Ryan and Sean Been made a very good bad guy. "The Hunt for Red October" runs a close second and remains one of my favorite movies of the last 20 years... I also think that if they want to use Affleck anymore (I don't know why, but...) they should use him has Jack Jr. who has sort of replaced his dad in Clancy's books. In other words I recommend the most recent story "The Teeth of the Tiger" whole heartedly and think it would be a great movie. Violent and bloody, but great potential. |

The Hunt For Red October...the only way it could have been better is if it would have had Harrison Ford |

I would have voted fro Sum of all Fears if it wasnt for Bennifer, I like everything about that movie except Bennifer, Morgan Freeman, James Cromwell, the tense scenes aboard Air Force One were very well done. If they had cast a decent actor as Jack Ryan in that it would have been a classic. I voted for CaPD, but that and Patriot Games were equally good. With HFRO, I couldnt get past the fact that the russian capatin had a scottish accent |

Jack Ryan is the main protagonist or hero in a series of books written by Tom Clancy. In the movies (based on the books) the hero was played by Harrison Ford, most of the time. Other times it was Alec Baldwin and Ben Affleck (a young Jack Ryan) Dr. John (Jack) Patrick Ryan works for the CIA in some capacity. Married to a doctor and eventually has 3 or 4 kids or so. I prefer Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan. The ones with him in it were the best. |
