Which do you think is the funniest Mel Brooks movie, I used to say Blazing Saddles, but I think I'm going to go for Robin Hood, some funny bits in that - "It is the key to the greatest treasure in all the land", "Im sorry, he's a little horse". Spaceballs is third I havent seen High anxiety, life stinks or To be or not to be, and it has been a while since I have seen History of the world. Note: While searching imdb for the list, I found out that there is going to be a SpaceBalls sequel!!!! Check it out! |

History of the World, Part 1 was hilarious. The inquisition scene. The French Revolution 'It's good to be da King'. The Roman Empire scene was great. The world's first art critic. I did like Space Balls as well. John Candy was great "I'm Mog, half man, half dog. I'm my own best friend". |

I went with Spaceballs. That movie is a hoot! I loved picking out all of the spoof parallels to other movies. Like the scene at the diner towards the end of the movie. The alien pops out of the guy's stomach, looks at John Hurt and growls (Hurt was in the movie Alien) and Hurt says something like, "Oh no, not again." The alien then starts to do a corny song and dance down the line of the counter.

I'm gonna say Spaceballs. But then again, I'm a sucker for sci-fi parody. Just a few lines: "So Lone Star, you see that evil always wins, because good is dumb." "What's the matter Colonel Sanders? Chicken?" |

I voted for Blazing Saddles, but The History of the World is also a scream. |

Right after this Lonestar and Mog get up and say 'check, please' in unison. I thought that was a funny scene. Blazing saddles was funny too. The seen when he rides in to town for the first time. Higgins (Magnum PI) says 'I'd like to off a laurel and hardy handshake...'. He's holding a branch from a tree. I like Gene Wilder in just about everything I have seen him in. |

^^^ I like Gene Wilder as well. I could have voted for Young Frankenstein as well, as that had some funny moments in it. |

Gene Wilder was in a Western Comedy with Harrison Ford. I think that it was called The Frisco Kid. Anyway, he was a Rabbi trying to get to San Fransico and it was hillarious. At one point he is explaining to a kid what life was like in Poland and his Grandfather was a farmer, his father was a farmer all of his brothers and uncles were farmers. The kid asked him, why did you become a Rabbi and Gene Wilder says "I think maybe they have enough farmers". I loved the way he said it. |

For me it's simple. I don't think I have ever seen a mel brooks movie besides the 40 minutes of Spaceballs that I saw. |
