I don't think El Aurians have telepathy, but they do have this odd ability to sense changes in the timeline. |

Hmmmmmmmmm, Good question. Maybe she sensed that he was going to try to alter the timeline, as if there was some sort of odd temporal aura about him? Maybe El Aurians can naturally sense each other? Sort of a racial empathy? |

This is what they have: El-Aurians Episode: DS9 431 - Rivals Planet: name unspecified. A humanoid species of "listeners" whose individual life- span can last well over 500 human years. El-Aurians appear to have an awareness that supersedes the normal flow of time and space, and while they might not be capable of explaining their sensing abilities, they detect time changes that would be impossible for nearly all other species to pick up. This trait has been recognized within individuals who were subjected to the nexus energy ribbon phenomenon, which may be related to the sense. The El-Aurians were driven from their homeworld long ago by the Borg collective's assimilation. The way this reads, it seems that the extrasensory power came from being in the nexus rather than a racial trait. Maybe that's how Guinan sensed Soren, they shared that experience and it somehow linked them.

Some kind of temporal energy I assume, since time is meaningless. Maybe tachyons, chronotons, etc. |

Then how come Picard has not developed this sense? Sometimes the information on Startrek.com does not make sense. |

Maybe he has. He just hasn't had the opportunity to use it. He just got it in Generations. I suppose he could've used it in First Contact, but the changes in the timeline were apparent to everyone. He also has some weird ability he got from the people in Insurrection. I don't get that.
