I resolved a long time ago not to make resolutions. It's been pretty easy to uphold that one.

I'm not sure if this is right, but I added up the total and found out I would save around $1,200 next year by doing my no caffeine for an entire year resolution....could I have someone check my math, that seems a little high.

I buy a pop whenever I fill up my car, which is every three days. $1.25
I buy two pops at the college each day, 5 days a week. $1.00 for each. I'm off for 24 days and the school year is 9 months.
whenever I buy something at wal-mart I buy a pop, three times a month. $1.15
at the grocery store once a week. a two liter is $2.30 and a dr. pepper 6 pack is $2.15

Normally I don't make resolutions either, but this year is the big 5-0.

On January 1, I have just over 9 months to go to the big day ....

I'm not looking at implementing radical changes on Day 1, but I do want to reach some goals by Day 280.

Apparently we look like this now
Mine is to get out of Newberry, SC, and get to get back to Tennessee to be with my daughter, and parents. Nothing else matters. I miss my family.

I got a different amount (approx. $744.88).

365 Days/3=121.67*$1.25=$152.08

$10.00*4 weeks=$40.00*8 months=$320.00

I just approximated 4 weeks a month and a total of 8 months since you are off almost a month. Some months will have more than 4 weeks. If the 24 days off is seperate from the 9 months, then add another $40.00 to the total (pushing it up to approx $360.00 for 9 months).

12 months*$3.45=$41.40

52 weeks*$2.30=$119.60
52 weeks*$2.15=$111.80

*******

Total = $744.88

Of course whether you save money at all depends on what you replace those caffinated drinks with.

Are you going to drink non-caffinated pop? Are you going to drink juice? Bottled water perhaps?

The only way to save the money is to drink nothing but tap water.

I am not going to drink non caffinated pop. decaffinated beverages still have a small amount of caffeine in them. about 3 milligrams.

I do not like juice.

I will drink tap water.
